The real math.

I've been a landlord long enough to know what a bad tenant actually costs. It's not just the missed rent — it's the turnover, the cleaning, the repairs they left behind, the legal fees if it gets that far. By the time you're done you're looking at thousands, sometimes more.

A Cross-Check is $3 during beta.

I'm not going to tell you it catches everything. It doesn't. But it catches the stuff that's hard to see — the math errors on a pay stub that looks fine at a glance, the income figure that doesn't match the employment letter, the dates that don't line up between documents. The kind of stuff a fraudster counts on you missing because you're busy and you're looking at a stack of paperwork.

Three dollars is a cheap way to find out what you're actually dealing with before you hand over the keys.

Pricing questions

Why credits instead of a subscription?
Because you don't screen applicants every month. Maybe you've got one vacancy a year. Maybe two. Paying $50 a month for something you use four times a year is a bad deal. Credits means you pay when you actually use it. Nothing to cancel, nothing to forget about.
Do credits expire?
No. Buy 30 credits today, use them over two years, whatever works. They're yours.
What if a scan fails?
If something goes wrong on our end, the credits come back automatically. You only get charged for scans that actually finish.
What if I buy credits and don't end up using them?
Credits never expire — buy them whenever, use them whenever. And if you ever pick up more than you need, we'll refund the unused ones. No minimum amount. Within 180 days of your purchase it goes back to your original card automatically. After that you pick how you want it back — ACH or straight to your debit card — on a quick form. We cover all the transaction fees, you get back exactly what you paid. Done within 30 days.

Why no hard cutoff? At some point state unclaimed property laws kick in — that's years out for most people — but when it happens we report it and you can recover it from the state directly. Until then the offer stands. We'd rather put that money back in your pocket than watch it disappear into a state fund.
What happens to my credits after beta?
Credits you buy during beta stay at $1/credit. The price goes up to $2/credit at full launch — but only for new purchases. What you've already got, you keep at the price you paid.
